Yen Dang

Yen is a driven and passionate young woman studying Engineering and Project Management at the University of Sydney. She is devoted to inspiring a generation of young girls and minority communities to achieve their dreams and pursue the education they deserve. Yen is a multi-scholarship recipient with sponsorship from Sydney-based company, Traffic Engineering Centre, and multiple other public education scholarships. Coming from a disadvantaged background, she is an advocate for educational equity and has been able to receive support from her mentors and teachers who have motivated her journey and committed their time to paving a pathway for her dream. 

Yen proudly represents her Western Sydney and multicultural community by volunteering her time to support others from similar backgrounds as herself. She is currently an American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) First Year Representative and Project Management Society (PMSoc) Sponsorship Coordinator at the University of Sydney. She volunteers her time supporting students and staff at Bass High School in the Canterbury Bankstown region by forming correspondence and facilitating educational outreach through tertiary advice, learning support and events coordination. Yen is a strong advocate for the acquisition of financial and wellbeing support for youth, giving a voice to marginalised communities and motivating young people from diverse backgrounds to reach beyond the stars
