Chae Jeong - Board Observer

Chae Jeong is an Adviser at the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, advising the Prime Minister of Australia and Cabinet Ministers on economic policy and issues ranging across trade, investment and geoeconomics. Previously, he worked as an Investment Banking Winter Analyst at Jefferies, Research Assistant at the Centre for Independent Studies and Investment Intern at Bondi Partners. He is the Founder and CEO of Echo, a not-for-profit organisation that promotes economic and financial literacy to young Australians through workshops and conferences, where he impacted over 1,000 young Australians and partnered with the Reserve Bank of Australia, NSW Government, UBS, Westpac, and McKinsey & Company. Chae is also Board Director and Head of Student Acquisitions at Ethical Education, a registered charity that provides accessible tutoring and mentoring to disadvantaged students, and a Youth Advisory Councillor to the U.S. Consul General in Sydney. Chae previously served as an Independent Board Director at UN Youth Australia, the largest youth-led not-for-profit organisation in Australia, and President of The University of Sydney Korean Association, the largest Korean student organisation in Australia that focusses on social and professional development.
